Gayatri Mantra has special significance in Hinduism and Indian culture. The origin of all Vedas is considered by Mata Gayatri. For this reason, they are also called Vedmata. Apart from Vedmata, Gayatri Mata is also called the mother of Indian culture. According to the Hindu calendar, mother Gayatri was born on the Ekadashi date of Shuklapaksha of Jyestha month. However, there are many opinions regarding the date of GayatriJayanti. GayatriJayanti is celebrated in many places on the date of Ganga Dussehra in Jyestha month. Apart from this, some people also celebrate the next day of Ganges Dussehra i.e. Ekadashi. In some places there is a tradition of celebrating GayatriJayanti even on ShravanPurnimaTithi. It is believed that Guru Vishwamitra uttered the Gayatri Mantra for the first time for the first time on this date, mother Gayatri is considered as the mother of the Vedas, Puranas and shruti around Hinduism, therefore Vedmata has said. Apart from Ved Mata, she is also called Devamata because all the three deities Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are adorable. Mother Gayatri has also been called the Goddess of Knowledge. Goddess Parvati, Saraswati and Mother Lakshmi’s incarnation is also mother Gayatri

According to Atharvaveda, worship of mother Gayatri gives age, life, subjects, animals, fame , marriage , happiness and wealth. According to Hindu calendar, Dashami date of Shuklapaksha of Jyestha month is considered as the incarnation of mother Gayatri. This day is celebrated as GayatriJayanti.
