Chandra is one of the most important planets and named as Queen of the solar system in Vedas. Monday is the Moon’s day. In our Vedic system of Astrology, Moon is considered as a  very auspicious planet that symbolises great wealth, abundance and mental power. Moon controls how our mind functions. The power of our mind and adaptability is controlled by the Moon. The power to meditate, concentrate, and protection from various diseases is also believed to be provided by the planet Moon. The Bright Moon is regarded as highly beneficial and the dark Moon as harmful. Just as a rabbit or hare jumps very fast similarly it is believed in Vedas that the Planet Moon jumps faster than any of the other grahas. Chandra is considered as the karaka of many things. It symbolises mother and females in general, femininity and beauty, memory, general health, the public, the eyesight and the mind. Chandra planet causes sunset, purifies the blood, makes our mind stronger, and observed as a mother who sheds nectar (Amrit). Devotee can get relief from all kind of sorrows, and mental disorders by worshipping the Moon planet. The cool rays of Moon emits happiness all around. He glorifies the head of Lord Shiva.

Moon organs: Rules the mind, eyesight, left nostril, the breasts and the brain (memory).

Moon diseases: A debilated, weak, distressed and afflicted Moon causes eye ailments, epilepsy, fever, cold and cough, hysteria, depression, bronchitis, throat problems, colic pains, nervousness, lunacy, paralysis, intestinal disorders, dysentery, typhoid, neurosis and cancer.
